My Family

Greetings from The Waddell's

Just a little background on us :)  My hubby Jared and I met in high school and I chased after him and didn't give up! Finally tricked him into a date. Dated for a bit, stayed friends and then got back together in 1999. Dated again until 2003 when he proposed. He was so scared the proposal went something like this: Hey, what would you say if I asked you to marry me?  (Me:) Are you asking me....???  He said yes i'm asking... we married in July in a little ceremony at the Master Gardens and had the reception in my parents backyard. Simple, but very nice. Jared is a computer geek, engineer, and a writer, and can almost build practically anything!! He is  also the love of my life!! Love ya babe!! All of the family has allergies to food, to start off Jared is allergic to gluten, soy, almonds, and sunflowers and garlic. To read more about me specifically and see my list of allergies please look at the about me section. I'd like you to meet my kiddo's...

This is my eldest, Victor. Born in 1999. He was my hardest pregnancy and birth. My own fault of course. I got very impatient because I was overdue and ended up being induced. Ended up seconds away from a c-section and finally had him with help of the vacuum :(  At Christmas 2007 Victor started having seizures. Luckily we were able to get the seizures under control with meds but we had also done allergy testing. Victor is allergic to gluten, dairy, eggs, and has to rotate beef. Victor  participated in 4-H for a few years and is currently in band playing clarinet. Now that's he's almost grown up his goals are playing football in middle school and high school, being a helper at Sundance, and he wants to be a truck driver (just like his grandpa) when he grows up.
This is Rory. Born in 2004, my first water homebirth. This birth was scary, but with the help of my mother-in-law, I was able to relax. At the time I wasn't sure if I wanted a water birth but once I was in the tub, I DID NOT WANT TO GET OUT!!! Rory ended up being born in the water just in time for lunch. He's got allergies too. Gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, orange, grapefruit, and garlic. Rory showed his pet rabbit Smokey for the first time at the fair in 2010 and won lots of ribbons. Now that he's a bit older, Rory's goals are to be a chef and a race car driver.
This is Keely! Born in 2007. She's the girl I was hoping for and was lucky to get. Keely was also a water homebirth. I woke up at 5am jumped in my bath tub until I moved into the birthing tub and at 8:30 she was born just in time for Victor to met her and then go to school. Keely is allergic to gluten, rice, buckwheat, oats, almonds, and apples.Currently she loves princesses, fairies, and her new love ballerinas. Keely's goals are learning all she can and learning to read.
Cheese! This is us, allergies and all trying to live a simple healthy life.
